What
is it?
Virtual service calls start with a small program that
you download to your computer.
Once you double click this program, I can connect to your computer
from mine.
I have full remote control of your computer and can do almost everything
that I can
do onsite at your residence or workplace.
What
are the advantages?
In
addition to full tech support, I can help with small tasks without
having to
schedule or charge for an onsite service call.
For example:
You need a new email account setup in Outlook
Express.
This is usually a ten minute task, but before it required setting
up a time for me to come to your residence.
I can do this with the virtual service call program without interupting
your afternoon.
Your
printer will not print. It is late and you need something printed
for school or work.
With this service, I can access your computer and fix the printer.
No waiting until the next day.
Your
computer has a virus, but with afterschool activities, and family
responsbilities you simply
do not have the time to let me stay an hour or more at your house.
With this serivce the problem is solved.
Establish the connection with me and when you come back from the
ballgame, etc your computer will be fixed.
How
much does this service cost?
Once the session starts, my computer keeps a timer for the number
of minutes I am working on your computer.
$7.50 for 15 minutes /
$15.00 for 30 minutes / $22.50 for 45 minutes / $30 an hour
$5.00 for less than 15 minutes
Is
it safe and secure?
Yes!
Virtual service calls are secure featuring 128 bit RC4 encyrption
on most connections.
Even with connections that are not 128 bit enabled, the data is
compressed and very safe.
Once the service call is finished, I click END on my computer and
the program that allowed us to connect is
automatically removed from your computer. I cannot reconnect to
your computer without you running
the program again.
